Welcome to my website! I'm John Mann, sometimes known as
"The Electric Mann".
I was in the Home Remodeling Industry for over twenty years as an Electrical Contractor (hence the nickname!) and later as a General Contractor.
I've seen all types of home remodeling projects but whenever I'm asked "What remodeling projects will bring us the best return on our investment?" I always answer either bathroom remodeling or kitchen remodeling. These two rooms can add value and really increase the "dramatic appeal" of a house, making it nicer to live in or increasing its resale value dramatically.
And between the two, my personal favorite to do first is bathroom remodeling because .......
The two rooms that, when given a "really sweet" remodeling job, will add so much to the home are the kitchen and the bathroom. And you can get the "most bang for your buck" remodeling your bathroom. It's smaller and so the project will probably cost less than a kitchen makeover without losing too much of it's "Oh wow! That's nice" value.
Does that make any sense?
There are always problems to overcome in just about any bathroom remodeling project, especially if the parties involved have not done any remodeling before and/or worked together before. Just deal with it. Things aren't going to go as pefectly as planned and so the objective is to get things done as close to plan as possible without losing your mind.
I will help guide you through the process and help you avoid common pitfalls that cause problems.
And that's what I aim to help you to do. If you have a definite plan, work the design process to accomodate your needs and wants as fully as possible (to avoid changes late - more about "Change Orders" later .......) If your budget is accurate, if you choose your contractor(s) carefully, if you actually get going .......
Something is still going to go wrong. Nowhere else in life does "Murphy's Law" raise his ugly head so visibly as in any type of Remodeling.
Just accept it. It is what it is. I'll help you get through it, so just relax and let's have some fun.
